<p>The device for transport or storage of foodstuff in liquid form, particularly drinking water, comprises at least one layer of fiber-filled thermosetting resin and at least one layer of unfilled resin, the latter forming the interior face which is in contact with the liquid or suspension. The interior layer is equipped with at least one film of copolymer based on PVDC with thickness preferably = 2-10 mu m. An Independent claim is also included for a method of making the above device. Preferred Device: Copolymer has molecular weight = 80000-200000; and it comprises sequences of PVDC, polymethyl acrylate and/or polymethyl methacrylate. Thermosetting resin is an unsaturated polyester. Preferred Method: Copolymer coating is applied to innermost layer by means of an aqueous dispersion of said polymer to give coating of specific mass 3-15gm<-2> which, after elimination of water, has thickness 2-10 mu m. method is claimed in which several layers of copolymer are applied to the innermost layer at temperature above 60 degrees C and each application requires elimination of water by drying at 80-120 degrees C.</p> |
