The machine tool incorporates a refrigeration unit (8) fitted with a compressor (10), and an electromagnetic valve (EVS). The unit (8) is designed to regulate the temperature of a fluid which cools the spindle of the tool support (2) of the machine tool (1). A regulating unit (38), integrated in the control unit (4) of the machine tool (1), controls the operation of the refrigeration unit (8). An Independent claim is also included for a method of cooling the tool support spindle. |
