FIELD: reclamation of fouled scale from secondary settling tanks of rolling water supply system at ferrous metallurgy works. SUBSTANCE: cleaning of fouled scale involves its treatment by heated degreasing reagents at continuous agitation with subsequent washing with water. Treatment is carried out by aqueous solution of water glass with a density at least of 1.1 g/cu. cm. The device for realization of the method has coaxially installed cleaning drums, coaxial cylindrical reloading drums for cleaning and washing of articles, means for conveyance of material from the cleaning drums to the reloading ones, drums rotation drive, detergent solution feed system made in the form of the lower parts of baths positioned in them. The walls of the cleaning drums are formed by louvers that overlap one another in a spaced relation by unbent edges coinciding in the direction of bending with the direction of drums rotation. Additionally installed inside the reloading drums are drums in the form of a truncated cone with a cylindrical louvered pulp separator inside it, whose smaller base faces the subsequent cleaning drum in the direction of scale movement. The means of conveyance of scale from the cleaning drums to the reloading ones represents a spiral reloader. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 2 cl, 2 dwg , 1 tblr
