<p>This invention relates to the measurement of the field strength map of a HF broadcast transmitter (1). According to the invention a receiver (2, 3, 4) is used comprising an antenna with synthetic aperture control and a processor which correlates the received signals after scattering from the ground with the transmitted signal and which applies range processing to the correlated signal.
