PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reversible heat-sensitive recording material with good color development, excellent water resistance and good repeating durability of printing and erasing. SOLUTION: In a reversible heat-sensitive recording material provided with a reversible heat-sensitive recording layer contg. an electron donating dye precursor and a reversible color developing agent on at least one face of a substrate, at least this dye precursor and the reversible color developing agent are bound with the first resin to form composite particles and the composite particles are surface-coated with the second resin. It is pref. that the composite particles and the surface coating of these particles are prepd. by spray dry method. In addition, it is pref. that at least one of the first and the second resins comprises a water-soluble polymer and a crosslinking agent of this water-soluble polymer or an aqueous emulsion and a crosslinking agent of this emulsion. In addition, it is pref. that content of the first resin in the composite particles is 0.1-50 wt.% and or average particle diameter of composite particles are 1-20 μm. |
