PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability at high temperature and humidity and give a longer life to dielectric porcelain by constituting a dielectric porcelain of crystalline particles comprising crystalline particles composed of Ba, Ca, Ti, Zr and O in a specific composition and a grain boundary phase containing rare earth element oxide, SiO2 , BaO and CaO. SOLUTION: This dielectric porcelain comprises crystalline particles represented by the compositional formula (Ba1-x Cax )m (Ti1-y Zry )}O3 [0.01<=x<=0.10, 0.15<=y<=0.25, 0.98<=m<=1.01] and grain boundary phase containing rare earth element oxide (excluding Y2 O3 ), SiO2 , BaO and CaO. It is preferable that the dielectric porcelain comprises crystalline particles as a main component and glass component in an amount of 0.2-3.0 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. main component. It is preferable that the glass component comprises 20-50 mol.% SiO2 , 10-40 mol.% Li2 O or B2 O3 , 2-30 mol.% rare element oxide (excluding Y2 O3 ), 5-20 mol.% BaO and 5-20 mol.% Cab. Nd is preferable as the rare earth element from the viewpoint of reliability. |
