PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To readily select an excellent plant having resistance to recessive disease damage and hardly having inferior character by using a specific marker DNA fragment, linking to property attacked by disease, which exists in plant having property attacked by disease damage and does not exist in a plant having resistance to disease damage. SOLUTION: Amplification by PCR is carried out by using, as a primer, DNA sequence of a part of specific marker DNA fragment, linking to property attacked by diseases, caused by PVY(Potato Virus Y), which exist in varieties such as Bright Yellow No.4 (BY4), Choice havana, Oudaruma and Kanth of tobacco which is a plant having property attached by disease damage and does not exist in varieties of tobacco which is a plant resistant to disease damage and derived from Perevi and linking to property attacked by disease, and existence or absence of property having resistance to disease damage is judged by whether sequence contained in the specific marker DNA fragment is amplified or not. Thereby, an excellent plant having resistance to inferior disease damage and hardly having linked inferior character is readily selected. |
