PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control turning force of a turbine rotor without increase of a manufacture cost and without decline of working reliability, by controlling opening and closing of the communication between a first and a second scroll parts, which are placed side by side across a division wall in the axial direction and communicated to each other through a communicating hole formed in the division wall, with an exhaust inlet. SOLUTION: A first scroll part 30, whose one end is communicated to a exhaust inlet 11a, and whose sectional are is reduced gradually in the rotational direction of a turbine rotor 13, and whose other end inner circumference is communicated to an outer circumference of the turbine rotor 13, is formed in a turbine housing 11. A second scroll part is placed side by side in the axial direction relative to the first scroll part 30. The second scroll part is so formed that its sectional area is reduced gradually in the rotational direction of the turbine rotor 13 in the same way as the first scroll part 30, and divided from the first scroll part 30 in the axial direction by a division wall 37. The turbine rotor 13 is rotationally driven by exhaust gas flowing from an exhaust manifold into the exhaust inlet 11a, also both a shaft and a compressor rotor are rotated by the exhaust gas.
|
