<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely charge and collect dust passed through an electric field ablent part of discharge by providing a 2nd discharging means is addition to a 1st discharging means composed of a flat electrode and an array of acicular electrodes in the execution of corona discharge between the tip of the acicular electrodes and the flat electrode. SOLUTION: A corona discharging device 2 incorporated in an air purifier and arranged at the pre-stage of a dust collector is composed of the flat electrode 14 and the acicular electrode arrays 11, 12. The acicular electrode array 11 is formed so that the sawtooth part becomes the acicular electrodes 11a, which are regularly arranged at a prescribed interval. The trough part between the acicular electrodes 11a is formed flat. The acicular electrode array 12 has the same structure as the acicular electrode array 11 and has acicular electrodes 12a and the acicular electrode arrays 11, 12 are arranged with a shift corresponding to the half of the arrayed interval of the acicular electrodes 11a, 12a in the array direction, and the acicular electrode arrays 11, 12 are connected electrically in parallel and voltage is impressed from a power source 7 so that the acicular electrode arrays 11, 12 are negative and the flat electrode 14 is positive.</p> |
