PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative pressure type booster which can attain improvement of operational efficiency and cost reduction. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a housing 10, a movable wall 13 which divides the inside of the housing 10 into a constant pressure chamber Ra2 communicating with a negative source all the time and a pressure transformation chamber Ra1 gastightly-separated from the constant pressure chamber Ra2, a power piston 14 which is linked with the movable wall 13, a negative pressure valve for communicating or cutting-off the constant pressure chamber Ra2 with/from the pressure transformation chamber Ra1 by braking operation, and a breather valve for communicating or cutting-off the pressure transformation chamber Ra1 with/from the atmosphere. The wall thickness of at least one of the housing 10 and the movable wall 13 is adjusted so that the stress acting on itself may be roughly uniform. |
