<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clock generator to be used for an integrated circuit microprocessor. SOLUTION: The clock generator 10 is provided with a device for generating a reference frequency, a sonic oscillator having an oscillation frequency a little higher than the reference frequency, and a circuit configuration connected to the sonic oscillator so as to generate a frequency carrier signal corresponding to the output of the sonic oscillator. The jitter carried by the frequency carrier signal can be ignored. The circuit configuration includes a perpendicular phase rotator for controlling the phase of the clock, clock distributor 14 for efficiently distribute the clock signal to a microprocessor integrated circuit, bus divider 24 for providing a feedback clock signal phase matched with the reference frequency, phase detector 22 for detecting phase difference between a bus clock signal and a feedback clock signal, and digital filter 20 in response to the phase detector.</p> |
