<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a processing system while shortening the processing time by processing three-dimensional information obtained by moving on the border of a medium using the simulated diameter of a tubular body as a parameter and estimating the diameter from a reconfigured image. SOLUTION: A transmission circuit 13 radiates a single-shot pulse signal toward a soil 1. A receiving circuit 14 receives a wave 5 reflected on the surface of an object 2 and pretreats the received wave before outputting, as a digital signal, to a data processing section 21. The data processing section 21 generates and stores three- dimensional information comprising positional information from a position detector 15, the time elapsed after incidence of a signal wave and the intensity of signal wave. Using the simulated diameter of a tubular body, the data processing section 21 shifts back the three-dimensional information by an amount corresponding to the ratio of simulated diameter/propagation velocity and processes the three-dimensional information with respect to the position and the time thus obtaining a reconfigured image. Furthermore, the data processing section 21 extracts an optimal shift for obtaining the maximum intensity of processed signal between reconfigured images and estimates the diameter of the tubular body as the product of propagation velocity and optimal shift.</p> |
