COMPOSITE PIEZOELECTRIC VIBRATOR AND MANUFACTURE THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite piezoelectric vibrator for an ultrasonic transducer having piezoelectric body rods of a large density, fine and highly accurate shape and having high adhesion between these piezoelectric body rods and a resin. SOLUTION: This composite piezoelectric vibrator is provided with many sets of piezoelectric body rod groups 4 composed of a resin block and many piezoelectric body rods 6 having the major axes mutually embedded at a desired distance almost parallel in this block so that the upper/lower end surfaces are exposed and common electrodes which are respectively arranged in a unit of the respective rod groups 4 on the block surface where the upper/lower end surfaces of these respective piezoelectric body rods 6 are exposed and transmit/receive an ultrasonic wave. These many sets of piezoelectric body rod groups 4 are mutually arranged in the block at a distance capable of damping the transmission of mutual ultrasonic vibration.
