PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a shock in a collision more quickly by arranging a sensor for an air bag device in the vicinity of the tip in a front fork supporting a front wheel. SOLUTION: An axle 31 is provided with an outer circumference notch part 31a, which keeps a mounting angle to a front fork 4 constant, opposedly to a projection 4a in the front fork 4. An acceleration sensor 32 detects acceleration in the direction shown by 1 perpendicular to both of the longitudinal direction of the front fork 4 and the axial direction of the axle 31 so as to detect a degree of a shock when a motorcycle collides against another vehicle and the like. In this way, as the acceleration detecting direction of the acceleration sensor 32 is perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the front fork 4 and the axial direction of the axle 31, the stroke direction is set to be perpendicular to the detecting direction of the acceleration sensor 32 even if the front fork 4 strokes in the longitudinal direction because of unevenness of a road surface, so that detection of the stroke directional acceleration by the acceleration sensor 32 can be dispensed with. |
