PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new compound having not only excellent gastric acid secretion suppressing action but also anti-HP bacterium action and gastric mucous secretion increasing action, and useful as a peptic ulcer treating agent. SOLUTION: This compound is expressed by formula I (A is nitrogen, -CH= or the like; Z is O or the like; Ar<1> is an aryl or the like; Ar<2> is an alkyl or the like; R is H or the like; R is a halogen or the like; R is an alkyl or the like), e.g. N-(4-chlorobenzene sulfonyl)-N-(2-dimethylaminoethyl)-N'- 2-(4- chlorophenoxy)ethyl}-o-phenylenediamine. The compound of formula I is obtained by reacting an amine compound of formula II with a sulfonyl halide of the formula: Ar<2> -SO2 -X (X is a halogen) to obtain a monosulfonamide compound and a disulfonamide compound and reacting with alcohols of the formula: R '-OH R ' is a (substituted) alkyl}.
