PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excavator with a sealing member capable of surely preventing infiltration of soil and sand at high pressure, slurry, etc. from the cutter head side by a small number of parts and the small man-hours of operation. SOLUTION: A cutter drum 4, to which the cutter head 6 side is connected, is supported rotatably to a bulk head ring 21, a sealing packing 33 is installed between the cutter drum 4 and the bulk head ring 21, and a grease chamber 34 is mounted on the sealing packing 33 in the direction of the central axis of the rotation of the cutter drum 4. Sealing performance to soil and sand at high pressure and slurry, etc. is ensured sufficiently by one sealing packing 33, the number of holding metal fittings and fixing parts is decreased while the operation of the insertion of the sealing packing 33 and the installation, fixing, etc., of the holding metal fittings is reduced, and soil and sand at high pressure and slurry, etc., from the cutter head 6 side can be prevented surely by a small number of parts and the small man-hours of operation. |
