PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a testing agent capable of directly detecting a virus in blood in a short time with a good sensitivity without requiring the aid of an antiviral antibody and useful for detecting an HCV or an HIV by immobilizing a polymer having a affinity for a protein in the viral surface layer on the surface of a microsolid carrier. SOLUTION: This testing agent is obtained by immobilizing a molecule (a polypeptide, an antibody, CD4, etc.), having an affinity for a coat protein of a virus on the surface of a microspherical solid carrier (having 0.3 nm to 20μm size) such as a latex or gelatin and is capable of aggregating the carrier through the protein in the viral surface layer in blood of an infected person.
