摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a powder excellent in transparency and electroconductivity by treating calcium silicate fibers with an acid and coating the resultant non- crystalline silica fibers whose fiber length, aspect ratio and refractive index are in a specified range each with a metal oxide selected from tin oxide, antimony oxide and indium oxide. SOLUTION: The non-crystalline silica fibers have 1-500μm fiber length, an aspect ratio of 5-5,000 and a refractive index of 1.4-1.6. The calcium silicate fibers are, e.g. fibers of wollastonite or xonotlite. The metal oxide is preferably tin oxide contg. antimony oxide and the antimony oxide content is preferably 1-50 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. tin oxide. The coating weight of the metal oxide is usually 10-100 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of the silica fibers. The electroconductive powder is incorporated into a binder to obtain the objective compsn. contg. 3-80 wt.% electroconductive powder and having <=10<10>Ω.cm volume resistivity and 30-100% all beam transmittance.
