<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent jamming phenomenon of a sheet from being produced, by eliminating an obstacle by providing means to detect and signal an abnormal condition in an area where a sheet is discharged. SOLUTION: A flywheel 7 is a driven roller supported by a supporting means, and a sheet discharging roller 5 presses it by a pressing means. A sheet discharging tray 8 is provided at a lower part of a sheet discharging outlet 9 of a sheet discharging device and a printer P1, and discharged sheets S are guided, held and stacked by it. An obstacle detecting sensor 10 having a light projecting element 10 a and a light intercepting element 10b is provided in the neighborhood of the sheet discharging outlet 9. The sensor 10 detects if there is any obstacle in a sheet discharging area C. A warning sound generator 11 of a signaling means to inform an operator when an obstacle is detected by the obstacle detecting sensor 10 is provided at an upper part of the sheet discharging outlet 9. The signaling means is also equipped with a warning light generator.</p> |
