<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new compound of a synthetic intermediate for effectively producing a sphingosine derivative which is one of a constituent molecule of a biomembrane. SOLUTION: This compound is the one of formula I (R<1> is a 1-20C alkyl; R<2> and R<3> are each a protective group of OH; R<4> is a 6-10C aryl; Z is a protective group of amino), e.g. (2S,3S,5RS)-3-(tert-butyldiphenylsilanyloxy)-2-(tert- butoxycarbonylamino)-5-(p-tolylsulfonyl)-1-triisopropylsilanyloxy-octa deca-4-one. The compound of formufa I is obtained, for example, by treating a compound of formula II (R is a 1-6C alkyl or a 7-11C aralkyl) with a reducing agent to provide a compound of formula III, protecting the hydroxy group of the obtained compound of formula III to provide a compound of formula IV, protecting the imino group of the compound of formula IV to provide a compound of formula V, and reacting the compound of formula V with a compound of the formula R<4> SO2 CH2 R<1> .</p> |
