<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to sufficiently reduce the thickness of a golf club head consisting of a head body and a face part while assuring the sufficient strength thereof by forming at least part of this golf club head of an ausforming steel. SOLUTION: The golf club head 1 has the hollow head body 2 formed with an opening 7 at its front part and the face part 3. The face part 3 (face plate) 3 is arranged to close the front opening 7 of the head body 2 and its peripheral edge is welded to the opening edge of the head body 2. A neck part 4 is formed at the golf club head 1 and the front end of the shaft is inserted and fixed to this neck part 4, by which the golf club is constituted. The face part 3 is formed of the ausforming steel. As a result, the thickness may be sufficiently reduced while the sufficient strength is assured.</p> |
