CARRIER-MOUNTED AUTOMOBILE REAR STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrier-mounted automobile rear structure that includes carriers used for long objects and keeping attractive appearances when loaded with them. SOLUTION: A deck part comprises an interior deck part with a back door 20 installed at its rear end and an exterior deck part spreading back or outwardly from the back door 20. The exterior deck part is provided on both its side edges with sidewall parts 2 and at its rear end with a tailgate 10, all of which are made shorter than a roof 5, and is mounted with a garnish 30 that is integrally formed out of a synthetic resin so as to conform to the rear end of the roof 5 and to rear pillars that extend from the ends thereof in the automobile width direction down to the sidewall parts 2. The garnish 30 is formed in its section abutting on the rear end of the roof 5 with carriers 40A each having an opening 40 in which a long object such as a surfboard 49 is inserted vertically at the front end of the exterior deck part and having a holder 41 for keeping the stored long object in place.
