ANTIMICROBIAL AGENT INCLUDING ENZYME FOR METALWORKING FLUID AND ANTIMICROBIAL METHOD THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an antimicrobial agent for industrial use more harmless than chemical preparations and having strong antimicrobial activity even if used in a minute amount, by making the agent include a lysogenic enzyme to the genus Pseudomonas and ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid. SOLUTION: This antimicrobial agent is obtained by including a lysogenic enzyme to genus Pseudomonas, obtained by incubation of microbes, and ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA). The lysogenic enzyme is an enzyme hydrolyzing cell walls of microbes belonging to the genus Pseudomoas growing in metalworking fluids and is compounded in chemical additive agents. The above-mentioned enzyme can be added at a given amount to a metalworking stock fluid or successively to a metalworking fluid being in metalworking. An inorganic alkali such as sodium hydroxide or an organic alkali such as monoethanolamine can be added as a pH adjustor to the antimicrobial agent. Furthermore, EDTA compound and coordinated complex forming compound can be added as activator to the antimicrobial agent.
