PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cast-in timing adjusting mechanism for objects to a convergence conveyor, whereby the send-in timing of object to the convergence conveyor can be made equal irrespective of the cast-in timing about the direction across the width of a transfer conveyor. SOLUTION: At a transporting speed V2, a transfer conveyor 2 feeds each object at an intersecting angleθfrom beside a convergence conveyor 1 to move at a speed V1, and on both sides of this transfer conveyor 2, a light emission part and light reception part of a sensor PH5 are installed opposingly on a straight line L directed at an angleθto the width direction of the transfer conveyor 2. The transfer conveyor 2 stops once the object when the sensor PH5 senses any object fed from upstream, and resumes the transport when a start signal is given externally and feeds the object to the convergence conveyor 1. Therein the conditionϕ=tan<-1> ((V2/V1-cosθ)/sinθ) should be met, and the direction in which the side of straight line L opposite to the convergence conveyor side inclines to upstream from the width direction of the transfer conveyor is taken as positive ofϕ.
