<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive treatment agent for spent edible oil, that is a filter aid used for recycling a spent edible oil, so called oil filter aid, which is capable of removing impurities in a spent edible oil and bringing the viscosity, color, and purity close to a new edible oil, and which has an excellent workability in the oil filtration. SOLUTION: The treatment agent comprises a mixture: (1) 20-60 pts.wt. of a granular activated carbon with respect to 100 pts.wt. of diatomaceous earth, or (2) 2-60 pts.wt. of a granular activated carbon, 5-20 pts.wt. of a granular corallite, with respect to 100 pts.wt. of diatomaceous earth, or (3) 5-10 pts.wt. of a granular corallite, 5-10 pts.wt. of diatomaceous earth with respect to 100 pts.wt. of a granular activated carbon, and packed into an oil-permeable bag. The mixtures of (1) to (3) may each contain 1-5 pts.wt. of an antioxidant.</p> |
