PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel device for a walker which can be correctly operated by an user's command, is safe, has enough durability for a long-term use and consists of a controlling mechanism that does not need maintenance. SOLUTION: When an electromagnetic brake 18 is magnetized, a stator 22 on the side of the bracket's side part 16a controls a wheel 5 by attracting armature 21 on the side of wheel 24. When the electromagnetic brake 18 is released from its magnetized state, the armature 21 is detached from the stator 22 by board spring 10, then gap g is generated between the stator 22 and the armature 21. Having the bracket 16 elastically deformed, this gap g is adjusted by screwing adjusting screw 31 of wheel axis 17. |
