PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a peelable coating material for producing a topcoat metallized layer having high quality and high transparency, and a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: This method for producing a peelable coating comprises a process preparing a base plate of a first material, a process forming a peelable coating composed of a solvent-soluble crotonic acid polymer on the surface of a base plate of a first material, a process forming a second material layer at least insoluble to a solvent on the peelable coating on the base plate and a process dissolving the peelable coating by bringing the peelable coating into contact with the solvent and simultaneously peeling the second material layer as a thin layer or flake.
