PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grease composition excellent in rust resisting performance and safety. SOLUTION: Into a grease composition comprising a lubricating base oil and a thickening agent, a hydrophilic organic inhibitor selected from among a lipophilic organic inhibitor a nonionic surface active agent and a hydrophilic group-modified lanolin fatty acid derivative and an alkanolamine derivative, are in corporated each in an amount of 0.1-10 wt.% based on the total amount of the grease composition.
