PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dwelling house having opening and bright atmosphere by arranging a family room of area over a fixed value on the center part of a building, continuing a space of the unfloored part of a vestibule arranged adjacent to it, and continuing a staircase to the second floor to it. SOLUTION: This dwelling house A is constituted of a two-storied building 1, a vestibule 3 adjacent to a family room 2 arranged on the center part on the first floor, a staircase 9, and the like. The family room is set to be an area of 5.5m×5.5m, and constituted of a kitchen 11 and a dining room 12, and a table 13 and a sink 14 are arranged on the center. In the vestibule 3, a porch 17, an earth floor 19, and the like are provided. In the earth floor 19, a window 20 facing to the outside is arranged, and a sofa 21 is arranged so as to be able to be used as a living room. The family room 2 and the unfloored part 19 are continued to each other through an opening part to form series of wide space. The staircase to the second floor is arranged continued to the family room 2. Hereby, communication can be attained centering around the family room 2, and a wide space is obtained in the center of the building so as to form opening atmosphere.
