PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring device that continuously and automatically records, displays and graphically illustrates the moving courses and grazing locations of the livestock among grasslands in order to save man power in the rotational grazing management in the grazed land. SOLUTION: One pair of antennas A, B that are used for identifying individual livestocks and set on the path for the livestock to move between two grasslands a and b at an interval of 1.5-2 meters. Further, both antenna A and B are connected to the controller set on the outside of the passage. A tag having a wireless transmitter built-in is mounted to individual livestock at its leg and the ID number of the livestock, the time, the antenna number are automatically recorded to the indicator in the controller, when the livestock passes on the antennas A and B. The data accumulated in the indicator is taken in a personal computer by means of a soft for data collection, analyzed by a soft for data processing to know the moving time, moving direction between both grasslands from the antenna-passing records thereby displaying and graphically illustrating the moving course and the grazing location of individual or groups of the livestock based on these records. |
