<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To emit a laser beam to a desired position regardless of the beam size by using an image-forming optical system. SOLUTION: In drilling a workpiece by irradiating it with a machining laser beam, a uniform mode laser beam is made incident to a multiconductor fiber 22, which emits a transmission laser beam. The multiconductor fiber is provided with plural coated optical fibers 22a having an incident end and exiting end, transmitting a laser beam for each coated optical fiber, and emitting as a transmission laser beam. Masks formed with a mask hole 24a are arranged correspondingly to the coated optical fibers on the exiting end side, while the transmission laser beam passed through the mask hole is emitted to the workpiece 15 as a machining laser beam. In addition, as necessary, energy adjusting masks 26 are arranged that adjust the energy of the transmission laser beam emitted from the exiting end for each conductor fiber.</p> |
