<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary joint for slurry fluid whereby the slurry fluid of abrasive liquid or the like in a well sealed condition can be flowed between relatively rotational members. SOLUTION: In a joint main body 1, a rotator 2 which must be forcedly rotated is connected rotatably and movably in an axial line direction. In the rotator 2, a first seal ring 30 made of silicon carbide is fixedly held, in the joint main body 1, a second seal ring 31 made of silicon carbide directly opposed to the first seal ring 30 is held movably in an axial line direction. A seal end part 31c of the second seal ring 31 is formed in tip end shape into line contact with a seal end part 30c of the first seal ring 30. By relatively rotating slide contact action between both the seal end parts 30c, 31c, between internal/ external peripheral side regions 3a, 3b is sealed. In both the main body and rotator 1, 2, a series of slurry fluid passage 6 comprising slurry fluid passage parts 60, 61 opened to the internal peripheral side region 3a is formed.</p> |
