METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR EASING THE STRAIN ON LEGS AND KNEES WHILE ON THE SKI LIFT

A method and apparatus for supporting the weight of legs, boots, and skis of a skier while riding do a ski lift chair which uses a support strap of elongated flexible material attached at one end to each boot in conjunction with a boot attachment strap. The other end of each support strap extends up the back of a skier's legs attaching to the skier's body above the thigh area. The support strap attaches to either a pull tab, a reel, an elastic strap or an elasticized cord which retracts and draws taut the support strap so as to slightly elevate the skier's legs, boots, and skis and support their weight. Either the weight on the thigh and buttock on the support strap, a gear lock on the reel, or a union between a hook tab which attaches to the support strap and a pile strip which attaches to the ski apparel holds the support strap taut and maintains the legs, boots, and skis of a skier in the elevated position. Thus, the apparatus supports the legs, boots, and skis of a skier while riding on a ski lift chair and eases the strain on the skier's knees and legs.
