The invention relates to a support device (46) for a bicycle seat which can be fastened on a supporting frame (41), whereby a guide assembly is arranged between a seat surface of the bicycle seat and the supporting frame (41) for said seat surface of the bicycle seat. The guide assembly enables a relative displacement of the seat surface of the bicycle seat in a horizontal plane which is aligned in an approximately parallel manner in relation to the seat surface. The guide assembly comprises a guide part (49) and a housing (47) which can be displaced relative to one another. In addition, a limiting device (51) which is provided for adjusting the movement range of the seat surface of the bicycle seat with regard to the fixed supporting frame (41) is assigned to the guide part (49) and to the housing (47).
