The apparatus comprises a stabilizing base portion (22), which includes a plurality of contact points (30) for communication between the apparatus and a solid planar surface, an adjustable seat (24), handlebars (26), and structures for providing limited side-to-side motion responsive to weight shifts exerted by the operator. The base portion further includes a bisecting transverse section (32) having two oppositely disposed transverse extremities. Each transverse extremity comprises a cushioned contact point (28), these two cushioned contact points acting in tandem providing limited side-to-side motion. Also, a rearwardly extending member may be included. This member has a first end and a second end, the first end being pivotally secured to the base portion, and the second end comprising a surface contacting roller. Additionally, between the first end of the member, and the base portion, near the pivotal connection of same, an elastic dampener is inserted to provide shock absorption capabilities. |
