FIELD: diagnosing equipment. SUBSTANCE: in accordance with method force is applied with the aid of pneumatic device to cock feeding working medium. Time of cock opening amounts to 0.2 s under dynamic mode and to 60.0 s under static mode. Pressure is measured across inlet and outlet of pneumatic device with the use of electric pressure transducers sending information to computer to record pressure of working medium across inlet and outlet of pneumatic device in 330 points of pressure rise or drop to determine particular fault of pneumatic apparatus. Gear for implementation of method has measuring manometers, in-take and accumulating receivers, pressure controllers. Computer is connected to unit of analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converters to which meter of time intervals, time relay, inlet and outlet pressure transducers, transducer of positions of cock feeding working medium and electric pneumatic valve are connected. Braking chamber and throttle are linked to cock feeding working medium. EFFECT: possibility of definition of fault of pneumatic apparatus under conditions of emergency braking. 2 cl, 5 dwg
