PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a crystalline cellulose which is fine in the disintegreation and high in the moldability when used as tablets or the like. SOLUTION: This crystalline cellulose possesses an average degree of polymerization of 100-375 and is composed of particles which pass through 75μm sieves and leave 70 wt.% or more based on the whole weight on 38μm sieves. The particles possess the ratio between major and minor axises of 2.0 or more in the average value.
