<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retransmission control method capable of automatically dealing with a retransmission operation even for a communication channel whose channel BER(bit error rate) fluctuates and the communication channel whose packet length varies. SOLUTION: In this method, an appropriate retransmission number upper limit Nv is set at the time of starting an operation in packet communication utilizing a communication channel and an upper limit value reaching the number obtaining stage for monitoring the number Nr of times of the retransmission operation for respective packets within a moving a average sample number M which is the moving average value of the number of times of the retransmission at the time of repeating the retransmission operation to the set retransmission number upper limit value Nv in the case that an error is generated in the packet communication and obtaining the number Nc of times of reaching an upper limit value in the case that the number Nr of times of the retransmission operation reaches the retransmission number upper limit value Nv and a retransmission number upper limit value variable control stage for increasing the retransmission number upper limit value Nv when the ratio Nc/M of the moving average sample number M and the number Nc of times of reaching the upper limit value is more than an increase judgement reference value A set beforehand and reducing the retransmission number upper limit value Nv when it is lower than a reduction judgement reference value B set beforehand are executed.</p> |
