PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an X-ray plane detector that can obtain a uniform image without causing inconvenience such as deterioration of the photoconductor or the like of an X-ray plane detector by appropriately controlling the temperature of the X-ray plane detector and, more concretely speaking, by maintaining the temperature within an operating temperature and a storage temperature. SOLUTION: A plane detector is provided with a cooling mechanism 6 that is mounted to a heat generation region 61 of a glass support 60 as a means for regulating the temperature of an X-ray plane detector. The cooling mechanism 6 is composed of a Peltier element 63, a cooling fin 65, and a forced air cooling fan 66. Silicon rubbers 62 and 64 that are heat conductors are provided between the Peltier element 63 and the glass support 60 and between the cooling fin 66 and the Peltier element 63. The Peltier element 63 and the forced air cooling fan 66 are driven and controlled independently. Therefore, each can be operated simultaneously or individually.
