PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten time for transmitting image data by transmitting non- compressed image data while compressing them through a compression control means when transmitting them through a modem. SOLUTION: When transmitting the non-compressed image data through a modem 200, these data are transmitted while being compressed through the compression control means. In this case, a recording image generating part 211g generates a sum nail image and a compressed image for reading pixel data from an image memory 209 and recording them on a memory card 8. When there is a response from a server, the value of a counter (k) expressing a transmission frame number is set to '1', the tag and image of a k-th frame are loaded into the memory and by watching the data of the tag, it can be discriminated whether image data are compressed or not. When these are not compressed, they are compressed by the RAW image data recording image generating part 211g and the image data of the object frame are transmitted. |
