<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an FMCW radar apparatus in which resolution enhancement and side lobe reduction are mode compatible when a peak is detected on the basis of the frequency analyzed result of a beat signal. SOLUTION: A received signal reflected by a target on the basis of a transmitted signal which is frequency modulated by triangular waves is detected by a detector 16, and a beat signal is generated. The beat signal is supplied to a signal processor 18, A peak frequency difference computing part 18g in the signal processor 18 computes the frequency difference between estimated peaks in very target corresponding to a distance and a speed which are estimated on the basis of the distance and the speed of the target which is detected in the past. Whether the estimated peaks are mutually brought close or separated is judged. A window function selection part 18f selects a window function for resolution enhancement when the estimated peaks are brought close to each other, and it selects window function for side lobe reduction when the estimated peaks are separated from each other. Thereby, the beat signal is fed.</p> |
