PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal for a wire harness which allows easy and certain sorting and collection in the recycling process for the wire harnesses. SOLUTION: A strip 10 to be formed into a terminal for a wire harness is structured so that a copper alloy 2 is joined onto a core material of a ferroalloy 1 as ferromagnetic substance. Favorable examples of the ferroalloy 1 are spring steel and ferrite series stainless steel. In the recycling process of a wire harnesses, they are crushed by a shredder, and produced fragments are sorted on the basis of the difference in the specific gravity between metal materials and resin materials. The obtained metal materials are sorted by a magnet into the terminal material and electric wire material (pure copper). Because the terminal material is of clad type (strip 10) whose core consists of a ferroalloy 1 as a ferromagnetic substance, an attraction force based upon magnetism acts and only the terminal materials is attracted toward the magnet.
|
