PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set appropriate scrolling display corresponding to a display content and to effectively display data in accordance with the setting content of informa tion for scrolling display by providing information for scrolling display in a display screen at every prescribed unit. SOLUTION: Book data is recorded in a recording medium as display data. Book data is formed of a management information area storing bibliography information such as a book title name and an author name, and page information such as the total number of pages, a page data area storing data of the respective pages 1-n being the context of a book and a scrolling route information area storing information for scrolling display and the additional information. They are stored in the recording medium as a file. The page data area is divided for respective pages 1-n and are stored. The scrolling route information area is also divided into the respective pages 1-n and they are stored.
