PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stop a motor-driven vehicle while making small its stop shock, by braking it through an intermittent current application to its electromagnetic brake when performing an emergency stop. SOLUTION: When the abnormality of a motor 1 or a motor control circuit 17 of a motor-driven vehicle is found to perform emergency stop control, the output of the motor 1 is made zero and a timer 20 for the intermittent-ON processing of its electromagnetic brake 22 is set to 2 secs. Then, judging whether the value of the timer 20 is zero or not, the release of 25 m secs. and the operation of 100 m secs. or the electromagnetic brake 22 and the count-down of the timer 20 are repeated. When the value of the timer 20 become zero, its alarm is raised to perform its operation stop control and interrupt its power supply. In this way, when performing emergency stop control, controlling the current application to the electromagnetic brake 22 by control means 10, 17 to brake it intermittently, it can be so controlled as not to make the action of its inertial force excessive in spite of stopping quickly. |
