<p>A waste water aeration tank (1) includes a quiescent portion which is located near the inlet of a discharge pipe (8) connected to a degasser (9) and which has a vertical frustoconical element (11) fitted within an open-bottom vertical cylindrical element (14), both elements having coaxial openings of the same diameter to allow communication of the discharge pipe with the interior of the frustoconical element (11). At the region of the discharge pipe opening, the tank has an external shape complementary to that of the degasser so that the degasser can be mounted by nesting on the external wall (19) of the tank. Preferably, the tank is assembled from cylindrical modular elements of moulded reinforced synthetic resin or other material.</p> |
