The hammers 5 are positioned at diametrically opposite points on the discs 1 without the leading edges nearest to each other being kept in alignment and with such a curvature that the drive is from the front from the abutting position of the shaft, some conventional cutters 6 projecting from the shaft 3 at a position diametrically opposite and at right angles to the hammers 5 forming anvils, while the arrangement of the cutting and shredding parts and the motion of the shaft 3 generate turbulence, with a large number of holes 2 in the circular head further facilitating the circulation of air between the discs. <IMAGE>
