The present invention provides in a process for the continuous overlap welding of thermoplastic sheets or panels by heating and compressing the facing overlapping surfaces, the improvement in which an additional material in the thermoplastic state is introduced between the surfaces being joined. The invention also provides a device for effecting said process which comprises a guide frame, apparatus for performing the process according to claim 1 comprising a guide frame, a device for heating the overlapping surfaces mounted in the guide frame, an extruder having a nozzle for the additional material, said nozzle passing between the said surfaces mounted in the guide frame and a pressure device mounted on the guide frame. |
