<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration of a carrier and to develop stable charging property for a long time with little deterioration in the electrification property by using a binder resin which contains a polymer containing ethylenic unsatd. nitrile. SOLUTION: The binder resin contains at least a copolymer containing an ethylenic unsatd. nitrile. The ethylenic unsatd. nitrile is preferably 40 to 90 wt.% of the whole copolymer component, and preferably 50 to 80 wt.%. The radical polymerizable org. monomers to be copolymerized with the ethylenic unsatd. nitrile are acryl-based org. monomers, and the radical polymerizable org. monomers are used by 60 to 10 wt.%, preferably 50 to 20 wt.% of the whole copolymer component. The ethylenic unsatd. nitrile copolymer is prepared by copolymn. of the ethylenic unsatd. nitrile, radical polymerizable org. monomers, and if desired, a rubber component in the presence of a radical polymn. initiator such as azobisisobutyronitrile. If a rubber is to be incorporated, its amt. is 0 to 50 wt.%.</p> |
