摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the rigidity, to decrease ribs and reinforcement parts, and to reduce the thickness and weight of a large-size display by using a molding which contains specific amounts of carbon fiber and thermoplastic fiber respectively. SOLUTION: This is a large-size display housing of >=30 inches in display size whose molding contains 10 to 50 wt.% carbon fiber and 50 to 90% thermoplastic resin. The carbon fiber in use is a short-fiber type and normally has high tensile strength of 200 kgf/mm<2> and a high modulus of tensile elasticity above 15,000 kgf/mm<2> . Consequently, the volume resistivity is <=1Ω.cm and strong electromagnetic wave shielding can be obtained. Here, a >=900×10<2> kgf/cm<2> modulus of bending elasticity in the molding can be obtained preferably on condition that the weight content of the carbon fiber is 10 to 40 wt.% and the weight mean fiber length of the short-fiber carbon fiber in the molding is >=0.05 mm, so that high rigidity can be actualized.
