PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a required time till video/audio signals of a desired channel are reproduced in the case of revising a reception channel among different bit streams. SOLUTION: In the case of receiving a program by a 1st reception system of the digital broadcast receiver having a picture-in-picture function, other reception system receives a different bit stream and program information of the bit stream is stored in a storage means 70d. Upon receipt of a program selection instruction, whether or not the instructed program is stored in the storage means 70d is referenced at first, and when stored, the received program is selected based on the program information.
